What is packaging?

The English term refers to the study and realization of the packaging or label of a product, from the point of view of shape, graphics, colors, materials, printing and die-cutting techniques. The packaging is what stimulates the purchase: the product must be easy to take, immediate to read, clear in its main information, nice to see.

But packaging also has a protective function (against shocks and impacts) and logistics (it must have an easily transportable shape).

In short: its study is not trivial at all, technical, practical and aesthetic and psychological elements come into the field. All following the legal regulations required for each product category, in Italy and abroad.

The study of a packaging requires a staff of qualified people: most of the time a designer is not enough. Factors come into play that can determine the success or failure of a product, beyond its intrinsic value. The pack is extremely linked to the ID, to the identity of the brand.

Communicating: effectiveness comes with studying

Leaving it to chance and improvising is never a good marketing strategy.
